Dès ses débuts, Sabryna Pierre affirme une écriture épique et incisive, centrée sur des personnages en tension avec leur époque. Ses premières pièces comme STE (finaliste du Grand prix de littérature dramatique 2011) et Unity Walkyrie posent les bases d’un théâtre qui interroge récits fondateurs, figures mythiques et mécanismes de pouvoir.
Avec des textes comme Personal Jesus ou la Nuit où Richey disparut sans laisser de trace, Incroyable ou Mayerling, elle approfondit sa réflexion sur la disparition, sur la mémoire collective et sur le rapport entre évènement et fiction.
Elle puise dans l’histoire, la culture populaire et les mythes pour construire des récits où le réel se mêle au fantasme.
À partir de 2015, après plusieurs ateliers de création d'opéra (Académie du Festival d'Aix, ENOA, TOTEM-La Chartreuse), elle entame une collaboration avec le compositeur Frederik Neyrinck pour L’Inconnue de la Seine, puis Icon. Elle adapte également Peer Gynt pour l’Orchestre national de Lyon. Ces projets marquent un tournant vers l’opéra contemporain, où elle transpose ses thématiques dans une forme musicale, en conservant son style fragmenté et poétique.
Sabryna Pierre construit une œuvre en expansion, où chaque texte semble répondre au précédent tout en ouvrant de nouvelles brèches. Son travail est salué pour sa capacité à «jouer avec les mécanismes de la fiction » et à « proposer une écriture ciselée et musicale ». Elle est reconnue pour sa finesse dans l’articulation entre texte et musique et pour sa faculté à puiser dans l’inconscient collectif et le détour historique pour évoquer notre société saturée d’images.

From the outset, Sabryna Pierre's writing has been epic and incisive, focusing on characters in tension with their times. Her first plays, STE (finalist for the Grand Prix de littérature dramatique 2011) and Unity Walkyrie, lay the foundations for a theater that questions founding narratives, mythical figures and the mechanisms of power.
With texts such as Personal Jesus or The Night Richey Disappeared Without a Trace, Incroyable and Mayerling, she explores disappearance, collective memory and the relationship between event and fiction. She draws on history, popular culture and myth to construct narratives in which reality mingles with fantasy.
From 2015, after several opera creation workshops (Académie du Festival d'Aix, ENOA, TOTEM-La Chartreuse), she began a collaboration with composer Frederik Neyrinck for L'Inconnue de la Seine, then Icon. She also adapted Peer Gynt for Orchestre national de Lyon. These projects marked a turn towards contemporary opera, in which she transposed her themes into musical form, retaining her fragmented, poetic style.
Sabryna Pierre builds an expanding body of work, where each text seems to respond to the previous one while opening up new gaps. Her work has been hailed for its ability to “play with the mechanisms of fiction”, and to “offer chiselled, musical writing”. She is recognized for her finesse in articulating text and music, andfor her capacity to draw on the collective unconscious and historical detours to evoke our image-saturated society.
